Shipping Zones

A zone is a group of postal codes and/or countries that are treated the same during shipping calculation.

Fields of a Shipping Zone

  • Name: A unique name (e.g. "Berlin City Zone").
  • Country (Optional): Restrict the zone to a single country. If set, postal codes are only matched when the destination country matches. If left empty, the zone applies globally to the entered postal codes.
  • Postal Codes: Individual postal codes (e.g. 10115, 80331). Add these one by one.
  • Postal Code Ranges: Inclusive ranges (e.g. 10000 – 10999 covers all postal codes in between).

Zone Priority During Evaluation

When multiple zones match a customer's destination, the app calculates costs in this order (from most specific to most general match):

  1. Exact postal code match
  2. Postal code range match
  3. Direct country match
  4. "All Countries" (**) match

When adding zones to a rule, you can choose between a predefined shipping zone (postal code-based) or a country (direct selection). Each zone or country entry in a rule can also be assigned its own fixed or percentage surcharge.
